Non Fiction: Loud Headphones

Many roomers and controversies have been going around of how mayor Bloomberg wants to limit the sound of your head phones. Most New Yorkers use these headphone on a regular day basis and are used to the level of sound. Many of these headphones such as Beats or SONY headphones are beyond average sound, which is why many New Yorkers use them. The question is, is this good? People do this all the time and studies show that they have impacted the hearing of teenagers. All these people and users of these products might suffer consequences of hearing them for too long and too much, but should they? Many people interviewed said no that they companies should be responsible. Nothing is official yet but their will be a decision and which ever one is made won`t make certain people happy.

After reading this article it made me realize how true it is and how i could relate. All day on the news hearing this new thing that the mayor was going to do made think about the thousands of people who do this. This has now become a way of life for most because people are so used to it that taking it away would be like living with out ears. Ok, they`ll still be able to listen to them but a lot of people only buy these headphones just to hear the loudness of it. I think that people should be aware of the consequences. Maybe make ads, commercials just to worn people;how ever i think that their are far more serious issues in New York that should be solved. For example the conflict with people getting pushed into the train and hum-sides that are way more serious than the volume of headphones.

Non Fiction: Let's Move

" Lets Move" is the name of Michelle Obama`s new campaign to decrease obesity rates in young kids. In the past year obesity rates in children have increased a lot. In fact in Chicago 6,000 children have to increase physical education. Many kids are overweight and so for Michelle Obama`s first anniversary for " Lets Move" she wants to have kids inspired and see the importance of being healthy and active. For inspiration Ms. Obama wants to make and insiring film and to keep them healthy is an increase in physical education in schools. Ms. Obama says that " I need kids in my life. They keep me focused; they keep me motivated.

A national tour of Michelle Obama`s Let`s Move campaign is currently being planned out and in the process of getting to as many schools as possible. Ms. Obama`s goal is to make loosing weight as easy and fun as possible. To help this be possible Ms. Obama has sponsors like Nike and other companies to found money for new courts and places to move. Not all people can make this possible for their kids so Ms. Obama plans to get as many founds to grant these programs to those kids.

After reading this article it has made me aware of how alert you need to be about your weight. A brighter future also means a healthier future and that's exactly what many parents want for their children. Having awareness in school and having a leader such as Ms. Obama should inspire most kids. I think that Ms. Obama is doing more than most leaders and taking a big stand for children in the U.S. Helping families who cant afford programs like this for these kids is really heart warming and is something worth fighting for. If a good future isn't in the reach of these children than what is their future? This campagain and program should flourish and be heard a lot more
